Yellowing is a macroscopic performance of the aging of polymer materials, which is an important signal that the internal structure and properties of the material has changed greatly.

Yellowing of material aging is mainly caused by the following factors:

● Ultraviolet light radiation. When the material absorbs light energy, the molecular chain on the absorbed part will produce a large number of double bonds, π-bonds, hydroperoxides, etc., and further form carbonyl and hydroxyl groups resulting in yellowing and discoloration of the product.

● Heat and oxygen. The material will be oxidized along with time, heat will accelerate the oxidation process of the material, the formation of peroxide structure easily generates free radicals, leading to discoloration of the material.

● Improper adopting of some additives will also lead to the yellowing of the material (Gas fading problems). Such as hindered phenol antioxidant is easy to react with nitrogen oxides (NOx), which produces coloring by-products.

● Other factors, material yellowing is also related to the moisture content, impurities and production and processing technique, which may reduce the stability of the material.

OMNISTAB ”Anti-yellowing agent for high-end engineering plastics” can solve the problem of material aging and yellowing caused by the above factors from the root. Of which, AY7610, AY7630, AY7650 and other products can efficiently solve the problem of yellowing caused by UV irradiation of the material. AY7660, AY7690, AY7670, etc. have excellent thermal stability, will not cause gas fading problems of phenol, can continue to provide excellent anti-heat and oxygen aging protection for materials during high temperature processing and use, and maintain the initial color and mechanical properties of products!
