With the rapid development of polymer materials, low molecular weight HALS have been difficult to meet some high temperature processing conditions and applications with high standards of weathering resistance because of the defects of easy migration, volatility, and intolerance of extraction.

In recent years, the research and development of high molecular weight HALS has been gradually active. Although high molecular weight HALS are resistant to extraction and difficult to volatilize, too high molecular weight may lead to poor migration performance of HALS in polymer materials, which is not conducive to the replenishment of HALS from the inside out, and on the contrary, affects the normal play of its light stabilization effect.

The key to solve this problem is to adjust the molecular quality of the HALS to the optimal range. After continuous research, it is found that high molecular weight HALS is controlled at 1500-3000 g/mol, which is more suitable, and the HALS is resistant to migration, while its light stabilization effect and dispersion are also excellent.

Key benefits 

UV3529 is a polymeric high molecular weight HALS stabilizer with dual function of hindered amine group and triazine group, which has the characteristics of high temperature resistance, extraction resistance, low weight loss, and high light stabilizing efficiency. It is a long-lasting light stabilizer for PP/PE and polyolefin composites, and is also suitable for other material systems with high weathering requirements.

OMNISTAB® UV3529 is particularly suitable for PP or PE films, flat wires, fibers, sheets, injection molding and rotomolding products, as well as polymers such as PA, PET, PBT, PVC, POM, ABS, HIPS, PMMA and others.

Key benefits

OMNISTAB LS3346 has similar structure to UV3529, also belongs to low volatile HALS, LS3346 has good compatibility with most polyolefins and excellent synergistic effect with other UV absorbers. Moreover, LS3346 fundamentally solves the problem of wide relative molecular mass distribution(RMMDI) of HALS, and its high transmittance at 425nm and 450nm is of great application value, so it is especially suitable for materials with high requirements on color and light transmittance.

OMNISTAB LS3346 is particularly suitable for polyolefin films, flat wires, fibers, sheets, injection molding products. It can also be used in materials such as ABS, PS, PMMA, SAN, PVC, nylon, polyester and polyacetal.
