OMNISTAB UV3638 is a new generation of eco-friendly UV absorber with broadband absorption in the UVB and UVA bands, and partially strong absorption in the UVC band of 200-230nm. Therefore, UV3638 can comprehensively absorb polymer sensitive UV bands, efficiently prevent the material from UV aging, and can realize the protection effect that cannot be achieved by a single UV absorber.

UV3638 is particularly suitable for the optical industry that requires high light transmittance and color, such as PET films, PC optical lenses, light diffusing panels for backlighting liquid crystal display devices, and so on.

Ø High molecular weight & good temperature resistance

OMNISTAB UV3638 has high molecular weight, low volatility in material formulations, excellent thermal stability. Its TGA (10%) > 370°C, and is suitable for thermoplastic polyester, nylon with high processing temperatures and stringent requirements for UV absorption.

In addition, UV3638 is an FDA-approved additive for food contact materials. It has high compatibility with PET materials, does not participate in the PET polyester polymerization process, and does not decompose, precipitate, or migrate during processing and storage.
